Dorothy and Dalton

I am just now getting around to posting these cute pictures of Dorothy and her friend Dalton. They got a little cozy at a cookout we went to a few weeks ago at our friends' house. Seriously, these two are both so affectionate, and give kisses so willingly, that they actually have to be asked to stop, otherwise they would run after each other and maul one another with clumsy, toddler-style hugs all day long.

Is this seat taken?

Oh no, the paparazzi have spotted us.

Hold me!

As long as we're together, everything will be OK.

Whispering sweet nothings.

She asserts herself.

Robbie's New Toy

A couple of weekends ago, Rob bit the bullet and bought a Cub Cadet riding lawn mower. Here's a photo of Rob all ready to mow and wearing his protective eyewear. Notice the handy cupholder to his left.

The New House

A lot of people have asked me why I haven't posted any photos of our new home. So I'm finally going to do that. Obviously there is still a lot to be unpacked and put away, so don't mind the mess...we are kind of getting used to it! And if you know us (or if you were ever at our previous house), you will undoubtedly notice that every room in the house is way too white for our taste. It will take us a little while to get it looking like our house - adding some color, hanging things on the walls, getting furniture for all the extra rooms we now have, etc. But meanwhile, we are just so blessed to be here! We can't believe how God has provided for us with this house.

The front of the house.

Our fabulous dining room.

Spacious sunny kitchen overlooking the wooded back yard.

The family room with fireplace and slider to the deck.

Kitchen/Family Room combo.

Thanks to those who have come to visit us in our new home, and for the rest of you, we hope you will visit soon!

A Fun Day at the Playground

Yesterday we checked out a playground near our new house. Dorothy had a really fun time, especially on the rocking horse. And of course, there were also slides and swings.

(Notice how the sliding board makes her hair super-static charged and it sticks out in all directions! Fun!)

Inspecting a piece of mulch.

Don't you wish you were a kid on a swing again?
